One of my hobbies is playing video games, especially ones that are creative, open world, or sandbox-y. I am also interested in how games can be used to explore political themes and reflect our modern cultures.
Recently, I've been using the game Fallout 4 to create a series of narrative videos that tell an ongoing story. By ignoring the main quests and what we're "supposed" to do in the game, I use mods and my own storytelling to investigate and navigate the game's rich world. The series is called "Carousing Through the Commonwealth" and can be viewed on YouTube.
Current games I'm playing:
Elder Scrolls Online
Overwatch
Fallout 76
No Man's Sky
The Sims 4
Pathfinder WOTR
Old Favorites:
Skyrim (and all the Elder Scrolls games)
Guild Wars 2
Fallout 4
Asheron's Call (RIP)
The Dragon Age series
Fallout 3 and New Vegas
Secret World Legends
State of Decay
GTA V
Assassins Creed Series
Rimworld
City Skylines
Star Trek Online
Bioshock Infinite
Resident Evil 4
Lord of the Rings Online
Saints Row IV
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
The Fable series
Dragon's Dogma
Dark Age of Camelot

I've written some posts over on my blog about gaming culture, technology, and interpretation.
